Conrad on Israel
* Regarding the June 3 editorial cartoon penned by Conrad: The portrayal of Israel as a bloody dagger juxtaposed over the word “peace” is profoundly offensive to all Jews.
The implication is that the democratically elected new government of Israel is a murderous predator out to destroy peace in the Middle East. In fact, Israel has been the catalyst for peace.
To prejudge this new government and the whole people of Israel is not only counterproductive, but insulting to the citizens of Israel and Jews worldwide.
