PORTLAND, Ore. —
Consumer advocate Ralph Nader will appear on the presidential ballot in Oregon as the candidate of the Pacific Party, the party has announced.
Nader already is on the presidential ballot in a handful of other states, including California, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska and Maine. He is expected to appear on the ballot in 40 states.
The party will hold its nominating convention today in Corvallis.
Activists in Oregon wrote Nader on April 16 asking that he allow his name to be placed in nomination.
