Music: Robert Morgado, former Warner Music Group chairman, has signed the first artist to his recently launched Chinese record label, Youban Music. Morgado, who was one of six top executives deposed last year during the corporate turmoil in Time Warner Inc.’s music division, negotiated a long-term agreement last week with Asian pop star Kris “Fei Xiang” Phillips, who reportedly sold millions of albums in China before moving to New York in 1989.
