Quarterly Sales Up 46% for Ingram Micro

Ingram Micro Inc. said worldwide sales during its first quarter ended March 30 climbed 46% to $2.75 billion from $1.88 billion a year earlier. The distributor of microcomputer products said domestic sales also rose 46% during the quarter.

The company also said it added 203 affiliates in the quarter for a total of 711.

Ingram Micro, which is planning an initial public offering of stock later this year, did not disclose earnings.
