Stork May Announce Its Intent to Buy Fokker Unit: A spokesman for the Dutch machinery maker said it’s conceivable that an announcement could come as early as today. Fokker Aviation holds the healthy parts, such as maintenance and product support, of Netherlands-based Fokker, its parent company and the aircraft maker that declared bankruptcy in March. Stork said Fokker Aviation would be a good match for it because that company’s aircraft servicing and components businesses would go well with its own industrial services and components activities. Stork had sales of about $2 billion last year. Fokker said earlier this month that it received permission to build another 15 planes, ensuring it will stay in business for another year.
