Dole Presents Plans for Headquarters Site

Dole Food Co. has presented Westlake Village officials with a tentative site plan for a new 502,000-square-foot headquarters complex on the west side of Lindero Canyon Road just north of the Ventura Freeway, according to the city’s planning director.

The company has begun a traffic and preliminary environmental study at the city’s request, Bob Theobold said. Company officials have said in the past that they would like to consolidate operations, which are spread out in four separate buildings in Westlake Village. Its headquarters are now at 31355 Oak Crest Drive.

Arnold Savrann, the project’s architect, said the company hopes to complete the $35-million project in 1998. Some of the buildings in the new complex would be leased, he said.
