JAPAN : 26 Sailors Missing After Ships Collide

Twenty-six sailors were reported missing after a Cyprus-registered cargo ship collided with another vessel near the Japanese island of Tsushima and then sank, news reports said. The other ship, a cargo vessel registered in Greece, safely entered the South Korean port of Pusan, Japanese radio reported. There were no injuries among the 21 crew members of the Greek ship. Most of the missing sailors were from the Philippines, the reports said. Japanese patrol boats were dispatched to the area, according to Kyodo News Service.
