Chicana Service Action Center

JTPA-funded job training and ‘ placement services for low-income persons. All nationalities-male or female-may apply.

Job-Links program offering training to become electrician, plumber, steam fitter, sheet metal or carpet worker. The 10-week program offers on-the-job training paying $4.25 per hour beginning with the third week of the program.

Comprehensive Jobs Assistance Centers (CJACs)

A one-stop career center sponsored by the city of Los Angeles Private Industry Council (PIC). CJACs assist dislocated workers (plant closures, layoffs and long-term unemployed) with job search, training and placement.

Offers academic, vocational, business and industrial classes, and GED program’ Classes are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
