With a flag at half-staff because of the recent bombing that killed 19 Americans, the United States defeated Saudi Arabia, 2-0, in an Olympic soccer tuneup for both teams in Oneonta, N.Y.

Jovan Kirovski scored twice in the first half for the United States in a game in which security was tightened but unobtrusive, with police quietly checking bags and backpacks at the entrances.

Before 4,300 on a cool, overcast day, the United States improved its exhibition mark to 12-6-11. The team has two more warmup games before the Olympics.

The game also coincided with induction ceremonies at the National Soccer Hall of Fame. The inductees were Gordon Bradley, Nicholas Kropfelder and Len Oliver.
