Water World--The Upper Newport Bay Naturalists will present an outdoor program for children and adults on Wednesday and Saturday mornings throughout the summer.

This week’s topic looks at the creatures living at the bay, both above and below the mud. The bay is fed by a freshwater tributary, the San Diego Creek, which makes the bay’s marsh and mud flats home to an interesting array of invertebrates, including bay mussels, littleneck clams and crabs.

Program activities include identifying various species and casting animal tracks. Each session will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and is limited to 25 children. One adult must accompany every three children. The cost is $5 per child. Adults are free.
