Everyone Has Ideas on How to Help Angels

Thank God those kooky folks at Disney still believe in bringing a little humor to this world. Regarding Tony Tavares’ comment, “I believe in accountability,” [July 7]: This is coming from a man who told everyone in Southern California that talks between Disney and the city of Anaheim were off forever, even while secret meetings were ongoing. As the future president of the Angels, he was either extremely misinformed or a liar. Knowing this, who is holding him accountable on anything he says now, or in the future? This would of course include the farcical between-innings shows that Mr. Tavares had imported from the Mouse Kingdom down the street. Is he accountable for the dopey bands and go-go girls, oops, I mean cheerleaders? This is the guy who’s going to hold Marcel Lachemann, Tim Salmon and the rest of the Angels accountable? Puleeze!
