Westcorp: The Irvine financial services holding company posted net income of $10.7 million, or 41 cents a share, for the second quarter, 34% higher than the $8 million, or 32 cents a share, for the year-earlier quarter. For the six-month period, net income rose 40% to $20.5 million, or 79 cents a share, from $14.6 million, or 59 cents a share, for the same period in 1995.
