Olympic organizers stripped the Atlanta Journal-Constitution of five of its six photo passes for Friday night’s opening ceremonies after publishing unauthorized pictures of a dress rehearsal.
Gary Kemper, photo chief for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, said Friday he was instructed to reduce the newspaper’s allotment of credentials for the ceremony.
“We originally had them down for six tickets,” he said. “We’ve given them one front row center seat.”
He wouldn’t say who instructed him to reduce the newspaper’s credentials.
