From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The defense wrapped up its case in the second Whitewater trial in Little Rock, Ark., after an Arkansas banker denied that $500 he received from his bank in 1993 was used for a $500 contribution to then-Gov. Jim Guy Tucker. Lawyers for bankers Robert M. Hill and Herby Branscum Jr. concluded testimony after calling 19 witnesses to rebut allegations the two diverted their bank’s money into the campaign coffers of Bill Clinton and other Arkansas politicians.
