The corporate argument against Charles Kernaghan is that he does not understand free market forces working in a democracy. He probably doesn’t. If he did, he would team up with Ralph Nader and initiate legislation that would require apparel manufacturers to disclose the labor content of a product, just like the food industry is now required to disclose to the consumer the makeup of what they sell. Then, in true capitalistic fashion, the consumer makes the ultimate decision. Do I want to pay more for a product where the manufacturer shows social re- sponsibility?
