Australians Streak to Another Gold Medal

Alyson Annan scored two goals as the Australian women beat South Korea, 3-1, to earn a gold medal and extend their unbeaten streak in tournament competition to 40 matches dating to last year.
Eight years ago, Australia beat South Korea, 2-0, in Seoul to win the gold.
The Netherlands earned the bronze medal by winning a shootout from Britain, 4-3.

The U.S. men’s team lost to Malaysia, 4-1, dropping its record to 0-7 in these Games and 0-26-4 in Olympic history.
Three second-period goals gave Britain a 4-3 win over India for seventh place; Argentina downed South Africa, 3-2, in the ninth-place match.
