Former Nazi Blames Jews for His Troubles

Erich Priebke, 83, a former Nazi officer prosecuted in two countries for taking part in a World War II massacre, says he is the victim of Jews seeking vengeance, Turin’s La Stampa newspaper reported. Interviewed in his Rome jail cell, Priebke dismissed demonstrators’ protests of a court ruling that he could not be punished for the massacre, even though he admits killing two victims himself. Priebke is being held while Germany pursues extradition.
