Beach Party Booths Can Still Be Rented

Vendor booths are still available for the 11th annual California Beach Party in Ventura, to be held Sept. 21 and 22.

But city officials warn that applications are going fast.

About three food booths and 15 commercial booths are still available. Food booths cost $625 for both days. Commercial booths cost $500. The booths traditionally sell out quickly, and are sold on a first-come basis.

All booths are 10-by-10 feet and have a nautical appearance. They will be set up on the beach promenade that runs from the Ventura Pier to the Ventura County Fairgrounds. In additional to the popular food and commercial booths, the city has four open spots on “Gasoline Alley” for auto parts vendors. Those booths are located near Surfers Point, where the classic car show is held.

A special area will also be designated for an arts and crafts show, and 15 booths are still available for interested artisans. Arts and crafts booths cost $175 for two days.

The California Beach Party is a celebration of Ventura’s tradition of surf and sun. The event features live entertainment on six stages, sporting events, beer gardens and a swimwear fashion show. The event typically draws about 15,000 each day.

The beach party traditionally has been held during the spring, but was moved to late September this year to take advantage of warmer weather.
