RemedyTemp Posts Higher Profit

RemedyTemp Inc., a San Juan Capistrano provider of temporary workers, which went public July 16, reported a fiscal 1996 third-quarter pro forma profit of $1.9 million, or 25 cents a share, 58% higher than the $1.2 million posted for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 increased 36% to $73 million from $53.5 million. Pro forma net income for the first nine months doubled to $5.1 million, or 68 cents a share, from $2.5 million for the same period in fiscal 1995. Revenue rose 37% to a record $203.1 million from $147.9 million.
