NCR to Use Optum Software Systems

COSTA MESA — Optum Software, a maker of warehouse management systems software, said Thursday that it has won a contract to install its systems at Ohio-based NCR Corp.’s facilities worldwide.
The first system will be installed at NCR’s North American distribution center in Atlanta.
Formerly a unit of AT&T;, NCR provides computer equipment and related services to a variety of industries, with an emphasis on the retail, financial and communications markets.
Privately held Optum did not disclose terms of the contract. The fast-growing company has recently moved into a new 50,000-square-foot building, tripling the size of its facilities. It has nearly doubled employment in the past year to about 120.
