Eight people were hurt, three of them seriously, in an explosion on a train in southern Russia, Itar-Tass news agency said. Tass quoted security sources as saying the blast was in a train at a station outside the city of Volgograd, about 550 miles southeast of Moscow. It was the third incident on the same railway line in the last few weeks. The agency did not say what had caused the blast, which followed a series of bomb attacks and bomb scares on Russian transport.
