Yocam Named to Board of Thousand Oaks’ Xircom

Del Yocam, a driving force in the development of the personal-computer industry and former president of Tektronix Inc., has been named to the board of directors of Xircom Inc. in Thousand Oaks.

“Throughout his technology career, Del has demonstrated a strong ability to capture market opportunities by delivering a constant stream of new products, a quality that Xircom values very highly,” said Dirk Gates, Xircom chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Yocam currently is a director of several leading technology companies, including Adobe Systems Inc., Castelle Inc., Integrated Measurement Systems Inc., Oracle Corp., Sapiens International Corp. and numerous privately held technology companies.

From 1992 to 1994, he was president, chief operating officer and director of Tektronix. Before that, he spent 10 years at Apple Computer, where he held a number of executive positions, including executive vice president and chief operating officer, executive vice president of product operations, executive vice president and general manager of the Apple II group, and vice president of manufacturing.
