Got a house full of hazardous waste and no way to dispose of it? Dump it!

Beginning Thursday, Cal State Northridge invites San Fernando Valley residents to the campus to dispose of toxic household items such as paint, motor oil, pesticides and cleaners. The city’s Hazmobile, a waste-disposal unit on wheels, will visit the university for six days of collections.

The Hazmobile, to be stationed in CSUN’s Parking Lot T at the corner of Lindley Avenue and Lassen Street, will accept waste from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Collection days are Thursday through Saturday and Aug. 29-31.

To schedule an appointment or for more information, call the Household Hazardous Waste Hotline at (800) 988-6942 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
