Amplicon Earnings Up

Amplicon Inc., which leases high-technology equipment, posted a 13% increase in earnings for the fiscal year ended June 30 on a 25% gain in revenue.

Net income rose to $13 million, or $2.22 per share, from $11.5 million, or $1.97 per share, for the previous year. Revenue totaled $257.2 million, up from $206.5 million. For the fourth quarter, net income rose 22.5% to $3.8 million, or 65 cents per share, from $3.1 million, or 53 cents per share, a year ago. Revenue totaled $68.3 million, up 20.4% from $56.7 million.
