Collins to Lead Sanitation Board
City Councilman John J. Collins has been selected to serve as joint chairman of the County Sanitation Districts board of directors.
He succeeds Newport Beach Councilman John C. Cox Jr.
Collins said he looks forward to providing leadership to the board.
“This next year will see the board providing critical direction in some policy areas that will affect this organization for several decades,” he said.
“Increased efficiency of our operations, including plant automation and employee cross-training and the creation of a new long-range strategic plan, are some of the important issues to be addressed in the next 12 months,” Collins said.
