Wexler’s Return

The return to Chicago of cinematographer Haskell Wexler, who was profiled in Monday’s Calendar, will be seen tonight on “Nightline.”

Wexler, who wrote, directed and photographed “Medium Cool,” the 1969 documentary-style feature film about the riots outside the Democratic convention in Chicago, returns to the city to explore the contrast between chaos outside the 1968 Democratic convention and the organization of the 1996 convention.

“Nightline” airs at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
