What You Don’t Know About Cholesterol . . .

Share

A study done by the National Cholesterol Education Program shows that cholesterol awareness rose 45% between 1983 and 1995. Still, Americans aren’t as knowledgeable as they should be about cholesterol: High levels can lead to heart disease. During September--National Cholesterol Month--you can learn more about this silent killer, which can be fought with diet, exercise and, when appropriate, medication. For information, contact the National Cholesterol Education Program, Information Center, P.O. Box 30105, Bethesda, MD 20824-0105, or call (310) 251-1222.
