Rotary Club Plans Germanic Festival
Fans of Teutonic culture and cuisine will get an opportunity to sample German food and music at the Rotary Club of Newbury Park’s 10th annual Oktoberfest fund-raiser Sept. 15 in Thousand Oaks.
The free event, running from 10 a.m. until dusk at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road, will showcase German automobiles and feature a live oom-pah-pah band, crafts booths and activities for children, including pony rides and face painting.
Proceeds will benefit nonprofit organizations in the Conejo Valley.
