Scaffold Collapses in Manhattan; 10 Hurt

Nearly an entire block of scaffolding collapsed in midtown Manhattan, injuring 10 people, five of them seriously, authorities said. The pile of framing, corrugated metal, bricks and sacks of cement also buried cars that were parked along East 44th Street, one block from New York City’s landmark Grand Central Terminal train station.
