IRVINE — Bethlehem Steel Corp. said Tuesday that it sold a West Virginia coal mine to A.T. Massey Coal Co. Inc., a unit of Irvine-based Fluor Corp., for an undisclosed amount. Bethlehem Steel closed the Eagle Nest Inc. mine in Boone County over the weekend as part of the sale. The mine had employed about 350 people.
Massey said it still has to determine how many employees it will need to begin operating the mine this week.
