Let me see if I’ve got this right. A political consultant who has worked for, among others, Pete Wilson, George Bush and Jesse Helms, is caught with a call girl, and this only reflects badly on Bill Clinton? It’s amazing what will pass for issues when a campaign has run out of ideas.

* The day after Dick Morris resigned, I wake up to find that the media are doing their spin, ad nauseam. The media suggest and question with their analysts and everyone else whether or not this event rubs off on the president and whether it brings up the “sleaze” factor.

In my opinion, it merely highlights the sleazy source and causes me to wonder who is really behind the item? More importantly does it affect the president’s abilities or his own character? Clearly the answer is no, especially when one asks the question, “Am I my brother’s (in this case Morris’) keeper?”

* Before Clinton’s chief advisor resigned, he stated in a television interview that the “president and I are about the same age and we share the same values.” It was easy to verify the age similarity and now we even know for sure that their values are also identical.
