Friendly Confines: Firestone Fieldhouse is home sweet home for the Pepperdine women’s volleyball team under Coach Nina Matthies.

In 14 seasons, Matthies’ teams are 100-43 at home compared with 130-139 on other courts.

Pepperdine was 9-1 at home last year and is 1-0 this season after sweeping UC Irvine earlier this week.

Riding the Wave: In the past 20 years, Pepperdine athletic teams have compiled a cumulative record of 3,517 wins and 2,011 losses, a winning percentage of .636. The Waves have won 66 conference championships and 95 teams have advanced to postseason play. Ninety-seven teams have been nationally ranked in the top 20.
