Wal-Mart Expects $464 Million From Sale of Photo Plants The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer, which is selling the six plants to Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., expects the sale, announced July 8, to close during its current fiscal quarter. Analysts had said the deal could fetch $200 million to $400 million. Wal-Mart Stores Inc., which operates 2,252 Wal-Mart Discount Stores and Supercenters and 433 Sam’s Clubs in the U.S., is one of the nation’s four largest photofinishers. Elmsford, N.Y-based Fuji will be the sole supplier of photographic paper and chemicals to the Wal-Mart stores.
