Charles “Bear” Wise; Cooking Expert on TV Shows

Charles Samuel “Bear” Wise, 54, sometimes called “Backstage Bear” for his culinary art in television studios. A native of Tulsa, Okla., he spent most of his life in Eagle Rock. After demonstrating his kitchen techniques for television and studio viewers, Wise enthusiastically shared the food he prepared with co-workers at KTLA and the casts of “The Home Show” and “General Hospital.” In addition to cooking on and off camera, Wise was active in the Sportsmens Club of Eagle Rock, the Windsor Club and the Wellness Community. On Sept. 4 in Eagle Rock of cancer.
