John Laing Homes has purchased 13 acres in Rancho Santa Margarita to build Santa Fe, a neighborhood of 136 attached homes starting at $136,000. The project will open in October. William Lyon Homes purchased nine acres to build Lyon Promenade, a neighborhood of 71 homes. Five new housing projects have recently opened in Rancho Santa Margarita, a 5,000-acre community with more than 25,000 residents. . . .
