Goods Sought for Sale to Benefit City’s Needy

Pots and pans, small household appliances, toys and used clothing are among items sought for an Oct. 5 fund-raiser to help people who need emergency assistance.

The city’s Human Services Department will sponsor the “yard sale” from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Valencia High School, 500 N. Bradford Ave. The donated items will be sold, with proceeds going to Human Services to provide clothing and eyeglasses to the city’s needy.

Donors may drop off items at the Human Services offices, 974 S. Melrose Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays until Oct. 3.
