Miami safety Tremain Mack was suspended indefinitely and blamed a drinking problem for his sixth arrest in four years. Mack, a 21-year-old junior honored just Monday as Big East Conference defensive player of the week, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence last weekend, becoming the 10th player to be suspended this season by Coach Butch Davis. . . . Six Montana players were put on probation and four others were reprimanded in the aftermath of a weekend fraternity house brawl.
