Denise Brown, the sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, has been awarded a restraining order against her boyfriend’s ex-wife, alleging she was harassed.

Judge Myron S. Brown granted Denise Brown a three-year restraining order against Rebecca Pappas Schreiber Tuesday in family court, the same court where Denise Brown has been attending hearings over the past few weeks on the custody of O.J. Simpson’s and her slain sister’s children.

Schreiber, according to court documents, is the ex-wife of Ron Schreiber, Brown’s boyfriend.

Denise Brown requested the restraining order Sept. 4, alleging that Rebecca Schreiber had “gotten into my gate-guarded community” and began a shouting match with her ex-husband.

Brown also alleges that she had to change her phone number to avoid harassing calls from Rebecca Schreiber. She also alleges to have received a death threat from her.

“The defendant has threaten [sic] to harm my boyfriend with a gun and I feel that both my life and my son’s life is [sic] in danger,” Brown added in court papers.

Brown has been appearing in family court at the Betty Lou Lamoreaux Justice Center almost every day for the past few weeks on behalf of her parents, who are fighting for guardianship of their grandchildren.

They are battling Simpson, who was acquitted in October 1995 of charges that he murdered Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Lyle Goldman.

The children, Sydney, 10, and Justin, 8, have been living with Louis and Juditha Brown, their maternal grandparents, in Dana Point since O.J. Simpson was arrested on the murder charges.

The order prohibits Rebecca Schreiber from coming within 100 yards of Denise Brown, her home and her business, as well as Brown’s son, Sean M. Brown, and his school.
