Los Angeles Washington (1-0) vs. No. 5 Los Alamitos (1-0), Long Beach Veterans Stadium, 7 p.m.
The Generals admittedly were in awe of the Griffins when they played them last season, and it showed in Los Alamitos’ 38-7 victory. This time, Washington brings some major talent, including junior quarterback Anthony West, who passed for three touchdowns and 200 yards, and running back Johnny Marrin, who had 300 all-purpose yards, in a 27-20 victory over L.A. Wilson last week. Los Alamitos junior quarterback Sean Stein passed for 158 yards and three touchdowns in the Griffins’ 42-0 romp over Cypress in Week 1.
