Native Plant Society Sets Sale and Festival

The Orange County chapter of the California Native Plant Society will host its annual greenery sale and native plant festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at the UCI Arboretum.

Plants for sale will be easy to maintain and require little watering, organizers said. Participants may also tour the arboretum and the nearby San Joaquin Marsh, and observe demonstrations on proper planting techniques.

The free event is being co-sponsored by UCI Arboretum and San Joaquin Marsh Reserve. The arboretum is on the UCI campus, 1 Bridge Road. Information: (714) 824-5833.
