AWED Gets Contract: California American Woman’s Economic Development Corp. has received a $174,785 contract from the city of Los Angeles to operate the Harbor Business Assistance Center in downtown San Pedro. The center, at 461 W. Sixth St., offers low-cost business consulting and assistance referral services for new and small-business owners in San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City and Harbor Gateway.
