Wonderware to Buy German Distributor

Wonderware Corp. signed a letter of intent to acquire its German software distributor for an undisclosed amount of cash. Wonderware acquired a minority interest in the Munich-based company, ICT-Wonderware Gesellschaft fur industrielle Softwaresysteme GmbH, in December 1994.

The transaction, which will allow Wonderware to sell industrial automation software products directly to customers, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter. The German market accounted for more than 12% of Wonderware’s sales last year, the company said.
