Attacks Resume on Motorists’ Cars

Despite stepped-up patrols on Los Angeles-area freeways, motorists again came under attack Tuesday evening from projectiles shattering the rear windows of their vehicles, authorities said.
At least four attacks were reported starting about 7:40 p.m. on freeways near downtown, the California Highway Patrol said. They were the first such incidents reported since Sept 25.
Authorities have no leads on suspects, tactics or what objects have been used to break the windshields. More than 70 moving cars and trucks were hit over a three-week period that ended last week.
