Drug Prohibition

Share

Ronald Glover’s response (letter, Oct. 1) to Jim Rosenfield’s Sept. 26 letter missed an opportunity to look for middle ground. He should consider a policy of decriminalizing drugs that would take the profit out of the drug trade and provide treatment to addicts. Such an approach is not the same as legalization, like alcohol and tobacco with all its promotion. It is about using our resources effectively. Prohibition is not working and another approach needs to be considered.
