FMC to Pay $13 Million in Whistle-Blower Settlement: Robert Neargarder, a mid-level manager in FMC Corp.’s ground systems division in San Jose, charged that the maker of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and M-113 tank inflated costs to be reimbursed by the Army for those items. Neargarder will receive $2.86 million of the settlement, his law firm said. The rest will go to the federal government. FMC spokeswoman Pat Brozowski said the company admits no wrongdoing under the settlement.
