Nationwide Health Properties Inc.: The Newport Beach company reported third-quarter net income of $14.5 million, or 35 cents a share, 4% higher than the $13.9 million, or 36 cents a share, posted for the like period last year. The results last year included a $989,000 gain from the sale of facilities. Revenue rose 11% to $24.3 million from $21.9 million.

For the nine-month period, net income increased 12% to $52.5 million, or $1 a share, from $46.8 million, or $1 a share, for the first three quarters of the prior year. Revenue gained 16% to $70.5 million from $60.7 million.
