Printronix Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of computer printers said net income for the second fiscal quarter totaled $2.4 million, or 29 cents a share, an increase of 26% from the $1.9 million, or 23 cents a share, recorded for the like period last year. Sales for the quarter ended Sept. 27 were up 9% to $43.2 million, from $39.5 million. First-half net income rose 7% to $4.9 million, or 58 cents a share, from $4.6 million, or 56 cents a share, for the comparable six months a year ago. Sales increased 7% to $87.8 million from $81.7 million.
