Stress in Families Will Be Discussed
The typical symptoms and causes of stress within families will be the topic of a discussion at the Children’s Wonderland day-care facility in Warner Center on Thursday.
Richard S. Newman, a licensed clinical psychologist, will address the issue from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the center, 5855 De Soto Ave. The discussion is free and open to the public.
Newman, who is an employee of the center, will touch on issues such as dual-career parents, single parents, financial pressures, discipline and other parenting concerns. His lecture will focus on understanding sources of stress, and dealing with and reducing stress. Newman is also a faculty member at UC Riverside.
