Public Radio Drive Calls on Businesses
Cal Lutheran University’s public radio station KCLU 88.3 FM is seeking local businesses to participate in its “challenge grant” fund-raising program.
The station, a National Public Radio affiliate, holds fund-raising drives twice a year to support its operation and programming. Its fall effort starts Saturday.
Businesses making challenge grants to the station pledge to match listeners’ contributions dollar for dollar up to a predetermined amount.
“The number of pledges increases by 50% to 75% during challenge periods,” said Mary Olson, KCLU’s marketing and development director.
To participate in KCLU’s challenge grant program, or for information about the fund-raising drive, call (805) 493-9200.
