Hicks Takes Over Rushing Lead

With his 22-carry, 122-yard performance Saturday, UCLA’s Skip Hicks has moved into the rushing lead in the Pacific 10 Conference.

Hicks has 506 yards for five games, a 101.2-yard average, which is the way the Pac-10 figures its leader. He is averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Corey Dillon of Washington, which UCLA plays Saturday, dropped to 99.4 yards per game. He is averaging 5.5 yards per carry.

UCLA came out of its 42-34 loss to Arizona State with only one relatively serious injury. Defensive end Darren Cline suffered a high ankle strain and his availability for Saturday is in doubt.
